Introduction to the department.

The department of Dermatology was established in June , 1995. Highly qualified and trained dermatologists provide consultation & better treatment to the patients and on the job training.

Equipment & Training

The department is equipped with wood's lamp, magnifying lamps, cautery machine etc. Skin biopsy procedures are performed. The department although still operating through the OPD is providing training to IV year MBBS students and residents of medicine. Yearly, 14 to 16 lectures in dermatology are given to final year MBBS students. The department needs a regular inpatients facility for specialized care.

Future Plans

The inpatient facility will be established for improving the quality of under and postgraduate training. The teaching faculty will be increased. Once inpatiently ward is establised, postgraduate training (FCPS) will be started in the department of dermatology.
