Introduction to the department.

The dental section of KMDC was commissioned on 21st February, 1993. On successful completion of four years study, students receive Bachelor of Dental Science Degree from the University of Karachi.

Admission policy for BDS and MBBS is the same.

The goals of this program are to educate and prepare students for the challenges of this millennium. Our principles are to deliver prevention and cure of oral and dental diseases in accordance with internationally approved standards. The students acquire problem solving skills and perform administrative duties along with participation in dental community projects.

Dental clinical department

Dental laboratories, library for dental section of KMDC are now one of the best in the city. Clinical departments are designed to deliver dental care and cure for at least 200 to 300 patients daily. Lecture halls and seminar rooms match well with the high standards of other teaching facilities. Dental clinical didactic and laboratory training are now be conducted at Block-M, North Nazimabad.

The Facio Maxillary department is situated at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for oral facio maxillary surgery.

Oral surgery and Orthodontic department have achieved the status of Postgraduate training centres. They impart postgraduate training towards FCPS-II examination conducted by the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Pakistan.

KMDC is the only teaching institute in the Sindh province which has a fully recognized oral surgery and Orthodontic program for postgraduate training leading to FCP Part-II.

Dental Section of KMDC is recognized by PMDC, and affiliated with the University of Karachi. Students of KMDC by the Grace of Allah are already standing out educational excellence. The only reason for our success is help form the Almighty Allah. May His Blessing never leave us AAMEEN.
