A. Eligibility & Procedure

a. Candidates who have passed Intermediate (Science) Pre-Medical group annual examination of 2006 and have secured at least 60% marks can apply for admission.

b. Candidates who have passed 2006"A" level & 12th grade examination (American School) with English,Biology, Physics and Chemistry from Karachi Centre provided equivalence certificate of unadjusted 60% marks is obtained according to formula laid down by the I.B.C.C, Islamabad. They will also have to obtain equivalence for "O" level and 10th grade from I.B.C.C.

c. The equivalence certificate of such candidates will not be accepted if he/she has not studied and passed the subject of English,Physics, Chemistry and Biology in his/her 11th and 12th grade/ A-Level examination.

d. Candidates should have passed last two examinations (Matriculation & Intermediate, "O" & "A" level and 10th & 12th grade) from the  Karachi Centre/ Board. Candidates having passed the above mentioned examinations at the centers located outsside Pakistan through Federal Board Islamabad will be accepted.

e. The candidates who have appeared in the Intermediate Science examination, 2006 for an improvement are eligible to apply only in case they have improved the grade/percentage of marks. The proof to that effect is mandatory and 5 marks will be deducted for each attempt.
f. Domicile & PRC of Karachi

g. If the candidate's parents are Government employee and the candidate has passed his/her any one examination other than Karachi Board he/she will be eligible provided his/her parent's deputation letter from the respective department is obtained.

h. Written aptitude test will be held to select the candidates. The test will consist of MCQ,s from Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English at par to H.S.C. examination.

i. The weightage of marks for determination of merit will be calculated as under:
     Entry test 50%
     H.S.C.      40%
     S.S.C.      10%

j. Candidates will be finally selected after interview by the admission committee of KMDC on the basis of merit list. Candidates are required to produce their original documents at that time.

k. All selected candidates will be examined by a Medical Board of KMDC before depositing fees.

l. Fifty's (50) admissions for M.B.B.S. & twenty-five (25) admissions for B.D.S. will be made for the academic session 2006-2007.

Note:

01. Pay order of Rs.1000/- in favour of KMDC from any bank will be required at the time of issuance of Entrance test form with Prospectus.  There is only one form for MBBS & BDS candidates.
 

02. At the time of issuance of form the attested photocopies of domicile, PRC and Marks certificates of Matric & Intermediate / O & A level /10th  & 12th grade will have to be submitted.

03. The issuance of form is not guarantee for submission of form until
the final selection of student and submission of original documents with required amount of fee.

04.  National Identity card of the candidate from NADRA if he/she is above 18 years or B FORM if he/she is below 18 years of age is essential.

05. Fathers Domicile certificate of Karachi and National Identity card from NADRA of Karachi.

06.  Attested copies of documents will be accepted along with affidavit at the time of submission of form.

07. The College does not provide any special preparation and has not
authorized any institution for preparatory classes for the test.

08.  Strictly no personal contacts.

(B) Cancellation of Admission for KMDC

All admissions are provisional subject to verification of documents submitted by the candidate and the correct observation of rules. If at any stage it is proved that the candidates has been admitted on the basis of false / incorrect documents or information his / her admission shall be cancelled after giving him/her an opportunity to show cause as to why his/her admission should not be cancelled and all fees paid by him/her shall be forfeited.

A candidate, who for the purpose of getting admission in a medical college, furnishes or relies upon a certificate or any other document, or information which is incorrect or false, shall be debarred from admission and shall also be liable for prosecution for forgery. Such candidate will be imposed a fine of Rs. 50,000/- after giving him/her a show cause notice of 14 days.

The admission committee shall have the discretion to refuse admission to any candidate who indulges in violence, uses adverse language, becomes insolent and misbehaves with the admission committee. At the time of interview the selected candidates will have to produce all their original documents. In case he/she fails to do so the attested photocopies of all the documents will be submitted by the candidate. All the original documents will be submitted by the selected candidates within the stipulated time period otherwise her/his admission will stand cancelled.

If the selected candidate fails to submit the medical fitness report & fees within the stipulated time period, his/ her admission will stand cancelled.

The KMDC administration will not send any informatory / intimation letter with regards to admission in KMDC to the selected / waiting candidates.

The candidate will be informed through notice / circular displayed at the notice board of KMDC.

c) Time Period of Medical Examination

The minimum time period for the Medical examination will be three days from the date of interview.

d) Time period for fees submission

The time period for the submission of fees is 07 (seven) days from the date of submission of medical fitness letter in KMDC.

e) Withdrawal of admission from KMDC

The admitted candidate is returned his/her original documents after completion of two years in KMDC. In case an M.B.B.S. candidate wants to withdraw his/her documents before 2 years, then he/she will have to submit the 5 years tuition fee in full at the time of withdrawl of documents.

In case a B.D.S. candidate wants to withdraw his/her documents before 2 years, then he/she will have to submit the 4 years tuition fee in full at the time of withdrawl of original documents.
